Stacy Millard found her love of dance at the age of 2 at Pat Jackson’s American Dance, here in San Luis Obispo. In her youth, she performed nationally and internationally earning multiple awards and scholarships. Stacy auditioned and was accepted to the Cal State Long Beach Dance Program with a minor in Dance.
After returning to the Central Coast, Stacy began teaching and choreographing for local dance studios and theatre companies. Stacy’s competitive choreography gained her multiple awards including Best Overall in Choreography.
In 2010, Stacy co-founded CORE Dance and the CORE Dance Company. Stacy taught jazz, contemporary, lyrical, technique and was CORE Dance Company Director from 2010 – 2018. In that time, she saw the dancers flourish into the amazing company it is today. After selling CORE Dance in 2018, Stacy took a break to have two beautiful twin boys. Stacy is returning to CORE as a teacher, director and choreographer. She continues to create unique, emotional and dynamic choreography. Above everything, Stacy is motivated by hard work, artistry and love. These traits she hopes to pass on to every student that comes to her class. Shine!
