Britney Edens began dancing at the age of three at Adkins Dance Center in Santa Maria, where she trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, and hip hop. While being an Adkins Dancer, Britney also taught beginning ballet, tap, and jazz to all ages. During her senior year of high school, Britney also spent a semester dancing at Allan Hancock College.
After graduating high school, Britney attended St. Mary’s College of California where she earned a Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics and Dance. While attending St. Mary’s, Britney had the privilege to dance in many faculty and student concerts, as well as perform at the American College Dance Festival. After earning her B.A., Britney continued her education and received a Masters of Fine Arts in Dance: Design and Production from St. Mary’s College and a mathematics teaching credential from Brandman University.
Currently, Britney teaches math and coaches the dance team at St. Joseph High School in Santa Maria. Dance has been her passion her entire life and she is excited to return to teaching where she can share her passion with others.
